ITINERARY:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CUSCO
Upon arrival in Cusco, assistance at the airport and transfer to the lodging.
The rest of the day is free to relax to minimize the adverse effects of the high altitude and explore this wonderful
city.
Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco. Meals included: None Suggested flight time: Lima (09:30 am) – Cusco (10:50 am)
DAY 2: TOUR TO THE SACRED VALLEY (PISAC & OLLANTAYTAMBO)
Hotel breakfast; I pick up from the hotel at 07:30 am. We embark on a journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting in Pisac, 31 km from Cusco. The ancient Inca archaeological site is on top of a mountain. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the impressive masonry skill of our ancient ancestors.
Then head down to the quaint little town and wander through its colorful local market to shop for intricately handcrafted items.
Later, we will have lunch in a nearby restaurant.
Then we head to Ollantaytambo, an Inca military, religious and agricultural center perched on a mountain. Unlike other small towns, this one has preserved its original Inca architecture, with magnificent stone structures and winding alleys.
Continuing with the tour, we go to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, the guests will be received and transferred to the hotel.

DAY 3: VISIT TO THE SANCTUARY OF MACHU PICCHU
Hotel breakfast at 06:00am, then we will take a bus to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu (2430 m/7972 ft). Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.
Around 07:30 am, the guided tour begins; the guide expertly directs you through the amazing ruins and main streets.
Stroll through the city squares and climb the stairs carved out of stone.
The guided tour lasts around two hours and 30 minutes.
From 12:30pm to 13:30 pm we take the bus to Aguas Calientes.
From 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, lunch at a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes.
Return to Cusco: We board the train to return to Cusco later in the day. We will arrive at the Poroy station and then we will pick you up and take you to the hotel in Cusco.

DAY 4: WALKING TOUR OF COLORFUL CUSCO – FLIGHT TO LIMA
Hotel breakfast and then we pick you up at 09:00 am. The walking tour begins at the colorful San Pedro market; there is probably no better place to witness Cusco life. Enjoy a first-hand look at how residents live day-to-day. The guide explains the history of this market while searching the narrow aisles laden with colorful fabrics, foods, fruit juices, bread, and shamans.
Then, we visit the main square of Cusco. This busy and vibrant space marks the colonial center of the city, with wide stone-walled walkways and colorful gardens.
Then, we will go to Qorikancha, where the convent of Santo Domingo sits on the old temple. For some unknown reason, numerous invaders were amazed by the splendor of this temple when they first arrived because, according to tradition, it was entirely plated with gold.
The tour ends around 13:00.
At 15:00 transfer from the hotel to the Cusco airport.
